LEAP Bridge Concrete Help

LEAP Bridge Reports

The LEAP Bridge Concrete Reports are based on data saved on the LEAP Bridge Concrete data file. They include Project Information, Layout, Cross Section and Material Reports. The Layout and Cross Section reports are bridge-type specific (i.e. they look different for precast and cast in place bridges).

Project Information Report This report prints the data contained on the Project tab.
Layout Report - Precast Bridge
This report prints the bridge layout information for a precast bridge, and shows the following information:
SettingDescription
Bridge Alignment Information Beginning Station, table of information on segments which can be tangent, circular or spiral, and alignment tie coordinates.
Bridge Layout This includes two tables for span and girder information. The span table shows various span lengths and offsets as well as the skew angles for each span. The girder table has one line for each girder of each span, and shows the girder type and ID as well as spacing with respect to previous girder at start and end of each girder, and the total number of strands in that girder.
Layout Report - Cast-in-Place Bridge This report prints the bridge layout information for a cast in place bridge, and shows the following information:
SettingDescription
Bridge Alignment Information Same as Precast Bridge, i.e. Beginning Station, table of information on segments which can be tangent, circular or spiral, and alignment tie coordinates.
Bridge Component Layout Table This table includes one row for each support element, i.e. Begin Bridge, Abutment, Pier and End Bridge. Each row shows the support (connection) type, its reference name, Station, Bearing and connection type.
Cross Section Report - Precast Bridge This report shows the cross section properties for each cross section type (ID) used in this bridge. The reported section properties include CG of the girder, Area, Moment of inertia about lateral and vertical axes, torsional moment of inertia and volume to surface ratio.
Cross Section Report - Cast in Place Bridge This report shows the cross section dimensions and properties for each cross section type used in this bridge. The section dimensions include width, top and bottom flange thicknesses, web thickness, top and bottom fillet, overhang length, interior and exterior overhang thicknesses, and left and right exterior girder type information. The section properties include CG of the girder, Area, Moment of inertia about lateral and vertical axes, torsional moment of inertia and volume to surface ratio.
Material Report This report shows the material properties for various superstructure elements. The reported properties include F'c, Ec, F'ci, Eci and unit weight. The precast bridges have their girder and deck material reported, while the cast-in-place bridges have this information report for every cross section type.
Deck Elevation Reports
These reports show deck elevations at station checkpoints along CL of girders or along offset lines. See the detailed explanation of terms below.
SettingDescription
Deck Elevation Report (Along Girder)
SettingDescription
Span ID The span under consideration.
Roadway The roadway under consideration.
Between Piers Refer to the two end piers between which the deck elevations are reported.
Spaces Number of equal spaces into which the deck length along the girder between the two end of piers is divided.
Girder The girder along which the deck elevations are measured.
Distance See Span & Girder CL-CL.
Station The station locations along the girder centerline corresponding to the selected checkpoints.
Offset The perpendicular distance measured from the girder centerline to the alignment (station line) at each of the checkpoint locations.
Elevation Deck elevations at station checkpoints along the centerline of girders.
Deck Elevation Report (Along offset)
SettingDescription
Span ID The span under consideration.
Roadway The roadway under consideration.
Between Piers Refer to the two end piers between which the deck elevations are reported.
Spaces Number of equal spaces into which the deck length along the girder between the two end of piers is divided.
Offset The offset along which the deck elevations are measured.
Distance See Span & Girder CL-CL.
Station The station locations along the offset line corresponding to the selected checkpoints.
Offset The perpendicular distance measured from the offset line to the PGL at each of the checkpoint locations
Elevation Deck elevations at station checkpoints along offset lines.
Quantities Report A report showing estimated bridge superstructure, substructure and miscellaneous quantities and associated cost. The unit price for the different materials can be set in Material Price dialog.
Span Beam Seat Elevation
These reports show elevations at top of Beam Seats (four corners and the bearing center)
SettingDescription
Span Refers to the two piers, one at the beginning and one at the end of the particular span under consideration.
Start/End Beginning or end of the span.
Dist From WP The distance of the four corners of the beam seat or its bearing center from the work-point (WP) measured along the pier-CL and perpendicular to the pier-CL.
Girder The particular girder under consideration.
Corner Refers to the location of the four corners of the beam seat (a, b, c and d) and its bearing center. For further details about the placement of these corners, refer to the diagram on Bearings dialog.
Pier-CL Distance between the corners or the bearing center of the beam seat and the WP, measured along the pier-CL.
Perp-CL

Distance between the corners or the bearing center of the beam seat and the WP, measured perpendicular to the pier-CL.

Elevation The elevation of the beam seat at its four corners and at the bearing center measured at the top of the pier.
Support Elevation This report shows top of Cap Elevations, both at start and end of each Span, under each girder. The offsets are the perpendicular distances measured from the girder centerline line to the PG Node. Offset skews are measured along the pier CL considering the skew.
